OUR PATRON SAINT
A life of prayer and service.
Our parish is dedicated to St. Geevarghese Mar Gregorios of Parumala, the first canonized saint of the Malankara Orthodox Church. The parish’s history records that our church houses holy relics of Parumala Thirumeni.
The parish celebrates his feast, or Perunnal, on November 2, remembering his repose in 1902. His intercessions are remembered in the Great Intercessory Prayer during Holy Qurbana.
Known for prayer, compassion, theological learning, and service to those in need, St. Gregorios continues to hold a special place in the spiritual life of our parish.

Consecrated as a metropolitan on December 10. His young age led to the affectionate name Kochu Thirumeni.

Canonized by the Holy Episcopal Synod following his repose on November 2, 1902.
